According to the spokesperson of the Regional Police Officer (RPO), operations are underway in Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, and Murree, targeting those residing without legal documentation.
The RPO, Babar Sarfraz Alpa, stated that 1,523 Afghan nationals have been shifted to holding centers. He warned citizens against renting out houses, shops, or vehicles to illegal foreign residents, emphasizing that such actions will lead to legal consequences.
The police have registered 79 FIRs against property owners who rented out spaces to undocumented Afghans.
RPO Alpa further said that illegal foreign nationals are not permitted to conduct business, engage in trade, or take up employment in any capacity.
To raise public awareness, the police are running campaigns through social media, mosques, and local announcements, urging all legally residing foreigners to register themselves at their local police stations.
