LAHORE: Commissioner of the Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI), Muhammad Ali, chaired an important meeting to review the performance of Medical Directorates in Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Muzaffargarh.
The meeting was attended by Medical Advisor Dr Humaira Buzdar and other senior officials, while the respective Directors Medical participated online and presented detailed briefings on their respective regions.
Commissioner Muhammad Ali directed that all doctors must wear overcoats during duty hours and that medical staff should adhere to proper uniform standards. He further stressed the importance of cleanliness in all medical facilities and ordered strict compliance with dengue prevention SOPs.
He warned that any negligence or carelessness would lead to disciplinary action. The Commissioner also instructed for uniformity in display boards, flexes, and informational signage across all hospitals and dispensaries to ensure a consistent public image.
Highlighting the institution’s oversight, he said that hospital and dispensary performance is being monitored daily, emphasizing the need for timely attendance of doctors and staff. He reiterated that a zero-tolerance policy is in place for attendance violations to ensure timely and quality healthcare services for patients.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of ongoing medical and development projects, with directions to expedite work and maintain quality standards.
