LAHORE: On the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab Government has continued its decisive actions to safeguard citizens’ rights and curb illegal activities. The Housing Department has successfully concluded a major relief operation at Lahore’s Theme Park.
Following the operation, Secretary Housing Noor ul Amin Mengal directed the Deputy Commissioner Lahore to recommend confiscation of 1,400 kanals of land owned by Theme Park owner Khushi Muhammad and recovery of all operational expenses to be deposited in the national treasury.
Secretary Mengal, accompanied by Commissioner Lahore Maryam Khan, Deputy Commissioner Syed Moosa Raza, and other officials, visited the site to review post-operation measures. Citizens expressed gratitude, chanting slogans in support of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for her prompt intervention.
Residents praised the Chief Minister’s leadership, describing her as “a true mother, sister, and daughter of the people.” Secretary Mengal personally heard complaints and issued immediate instructions for their redressal, emphasizing that the government would not tolerate those who jeopardize citizens’ lives or property.
Managing Director WASA Ghafran Ahmed briefed the Secretary on the ongoing relief initiatives. Commending the team’s dedication, Mengal noted that under the Chief Minister’s special directives, officials and machinery remained operational round the clock to assist affected families, ensuring that those who deceived innocent citizens face strict accountability.
