ISLAMABAD, November 7, 2025: Pakistan has strongly rejected India’s allegations of conducting secret or illegal nuclear activities, calling them “baseless and politically motivated.”
In an official statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson said that India had distorted remarks made by former U.S. President Donald Trump. The spokesperson clarified that American officials had already explained the context of Trump’s statement to the media, reaffirming that Pakistan’s last nuclear test took place in May 1998.
The spokesperson emphasized that Pakistan’s nuclear policy is clear, consistent, and fully aligned with UN resolutions, while India’s record on nuclear safety and security remains a matter of grave concern.
“Pakistan’s nuclear program operates under an effective command and control system and maintains an impeccable record of compliance with global non-proliferation standards,” the statement read.
The Foreign Office further noted that India has repeatedly taken an ambiguous stance on international resolutions banning nuclear tests and pointed out that reports of frequent incidents of nuclear material theft and mishandling in India raise serious questions about its nuclear governance.
The spokesperson reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to maintaining peace and stability in the region while ensuring credible minimum deterrence for its security.
