ISLAMABAD:Report by M.Saleem Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has strongly condemned Sohail Afridi’s recent remarks, calling them “provocative, baseless, and deeply disrespectful” toward the nation’s heroes.
In a statement issued on Friday, the minister said Afridi’s comments had “crossed all limits of ingratitude” and demanded that he issue a public apology for his “irresponsible and inflammatory” statement.
“The remarks made against our brave sons, who have laid down their lives for the country, are unacceptable and contrary to national values,” Naqvi said. “No patriotic citizen could ever make such statements about those who have sacrificed for Pakistan.”
The interior minister reiterated that the government holds the utmost respect for the sacrifices of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies and that any attempt to undermine their honor will be dealt with firmly.
