ISLAMABAD:Report by .Muhammad Saleem
Before the formal approval of the 27th Constitutional Amendment, Senator Faisal Vawda arrived at the Parliament House carrying a basket of sweets to celebrate in advance.
As the Senate prepared to vote on the amendment, Vawda distributed sweets among journalists outside the Parliament House.
Speaking to the media, Faisal Vawda said, “I came to have sweets in advance — you can’t have attitude with a government job.”
He added that Pakistan’s defence line will be further strengthened, stating that “whatever is happening is part of a larger plan — what applies to this president will also apply to the next.”
Concluding with a hint of confidence, Vawda remarked, “Enjoy the sweets for the 27th Amendment and get ready for the 28th.”
