LAHORE: A high-level meeting of the Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, chaired by the Commissioner, underscored the importance of prompt and effective resolution of complaints lodged by Overseas Pakistanis. Senior police officers from Kasur, Okara, Chakwal, Mianwali and Rahim Yar Khan attended the meeting.
The session focused on the swift recovery and disposal of criminal cases registered by Overseas Pakistanis, as well as the timely arrest, challan submission and prosecution of proclaimed offenders (POs), court absconders (CAs) and other accused individuals linked to these cases.
The Commissioner instructed officials to maintain a professional, supportive and facilitative approach during District Overseas Pakistanis Committee (DOPC) meetings. He emphasized improved governance, transparency and strict monitoring to ensure accountability across all police districts handling OP-related complaints.
The meeting was attended by DG OPC Ahmer Nike, Director Administration Aamir Ahmed Khan, Director Police Imtiaz Ahmed Khan and focal persons from multiple districts.
The Commissioner directed all officers to extend full cooperation for transparent and expeditious resolution of issues faced by Overseas Pakistanis and to closely evaluate the performance of police personnel involved in handling these matters.
