DUBAI: The Dubai Airshow 2025 opened at Al Maktoum International Airport with a spectacular display of aerial manoeuvres, drawing aviation leaders, aerospace manufacturers and defence industry experts from around the world.
Pakistan’s JF-17 Thunder once again emerged as one of the star attractions of the event, earning widespread praise for its agility, precision and modern combat capabilities. Pakistani and Emirati aircraft stood side by side in the display zone, capturing the attention of aviation enthusiasts, analysts and international delegates.
A joint aerial performance by Pakistani and UAE pilots became one of the major highlights of the opening day, showcasing seamless coordination and exceptional flying skills. The powerful display won the hearts of spectators, who applauded the expertise of the Pakistani pilots. Many visitors were seen taking photographs and selfies with the Pakistani contingent and the aircraft adorned with the green crescent flag.
The atmosphere remained electric throughout the day, with fighter jets and commercial aircraft from various countries presenting high-speed passes, formation flights and advanced aerobatic manoeuvres.
International observers also noted that the confidence and pride surrounding Pakistan’s JF-17 reflected the country’s recent aviation achievements, particularly after its successful performance during operations earlier this year.
The five-day airshow is set to feature major defence agreements, new technology launches and daily flying demonstrations, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a global hub for aviation and aerospace innovation.
