LAHORE, PAKISTAN: As part of Punjab’s ongoing national campaign to prevent Measles and Rubella, a vaccination camp was formally inaugurated at White Palace, Marghazar PP-168. Member of National Assembly and President of PML-N Lahore, Malik Saif ul Malook Khokhar, attended the ceremony as the chief guest.
Addressing the audience, Malik Saif ul Malook Khokhar highlighted the serious health risks Measles and Rubella pose to children and praised the provincial government, under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, for taking proactive measures to safeguard children. He urged parents to ensure that their children receive timely vaccinations to remain protected from these potentially life-threatening illnesses.
He also appreciated the Health Department teams for their dedicated door-to-door vaccination efforts. Health officials said that during the campaign, millions of children under the age of five across Punjab, including those in PP-168, will be vaccinated against Measles and Rubella.
The inauguration was attended by representatives of the Punjab Health Department, Lady Health Workers, Coordinator Mati-ur-Rehman, and a large number of local community members, demonstrating strong community involvement in the health initiative.
