LAHORE — The Punjab University Institute of Zoology on Thursday organized an “Amphibian Awareness Exhibition” led by BS Zoology students to highlight the ecological importance of amphibians and promote conservation awareness among youth.
The event, held on campus, was attended by Director Institute of Zoology Prof Dr Nabila Roohi, Chairman Hall Council Prof Dr Muhammad Akbar Khan, Director DSA Dr Shahzeb Khan, Student Advisor Dr Bushra Nisar Khan, faculty members and a large number of students.
In her address, Dr Nabila Roohi said the initiative aimed to emphasize the critical ecological role of amphibians, calling them key indicators of environmental health and essential for maintaining balanced ecosystems.
She noted that the exhibition featured educational models, informative posters, interactive games, quiz competitions, storytelling sessions, as well as an awareness talk and movie screening arranged by WWF-Pakistan.
Dr Roohi added that such student-led initiatives help foster ecological responsibility and urged participants to actively support environmental protection efforts.
