LAHORE: Acting on the directives of Punjab’s Provincial Minister for Sports, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar, the Sports Department Punjab has launched extensive training camps across the province in preparation for the upcoming National Games.
A total of 25 training camps have been activated, bringing together more than 450 athletes from various sports who are currently undergoing intensive training.
Badminton and table tennis sessions are being held at the Gymnasium Hall, while the Elite Training Centre is hosting camps for karate, weightlifting, and kabaddi. At the Punjab Stadium, athletes from athletics and rugby engaged in rigorous training, whereas female athletes participated in structured physical workouts at the National Hockey Stadium.
On instructions from the Provincial Minister, Director General Sports Punjab Khizra Afzal Chaudhry visited several training venues to assess performance standards.
