LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore signed a memorandum of understanding withNexGen Connect Private Limited toestablish cooperation for enhancing the practical skills &employability of UVAS Business School, Nutrition and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students through internship programs and to foster broader industry-academia linkages for joint academic and professional activities.
UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) and Chief Executive Officer NexGen Connect MrBilawal Ali Shah signed the MoU in the ceremony held at UVAS City Campus whileDean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof DrAneelaZameerDurrani, Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management Prof DrRana Muhammad Ayyub and few officials from both organizations were present.
Under the MoU,NexGen Connect will providehigh-quality internship opportunities in the fields of Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management and Information Technology to UVAS Business School students (UBS) of BBA, Nutrition and DVM program studentsto enabling them to gain practical industry experience, facilitate the exchange of knowledge between UBS and the NexGenthrough joint seminars, workshops, guest lectures and training programs. Both parties will jointly explore opportunities for collaborative research, consultancy projects and case study development based on real-world business challenges.To strengthen industry-academia linkages for the mutual benefit of both organizationsthey contribute to the development of a skilled workforce in Pakistan.They also will invite their experienced professionals from their organizationsas guest speakers for lectures, conduct workshops, training sessions & strategy meetings.
Meanwhile, Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) presided over the concluding ceremony of five days training programme on X-Ray and Gas Anesthesia Machine held at UVAS and he distributed certificates among participants of training.
Earlier,Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof DrAneelaZameerDurranichairedoath-taking ceremony and administered oath to the new office-bearers of Character Building Societywhile Prof DrMatiurRehman Khan Niazi, Prof DrYasinTipu, DrGhulam Mustafa and number of students were present in the ceremony.
