Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that while Pakistan has the capability to resolve issues with Afghanistan through force, it does not wish to take such a step against a neighboring Muslim country.
“We can solve the Afghanistan issue through force, but we do not want to enter our brother’s home and fight,” Dar stated.
He further said that if Pakistan can deal firmly with India when required, then Afghanistan is “not a problem at all.” However, he emphasized that Pakistan’s priority is peace, not conflict.
“Our only demand is that Afghan soil should not be used against Pakistan. Peace is the only viable path,” the foreign minister added.
Dar’s remarks come amid growing concerns over cross-border militancy and Pakistan’s repeated calls for Kabul to prevent terrorist groups from operating on Afghan territory.
