Section 144 Imposed in Islamabad and Rawalpindi Ahead of Possible PTI Protest

Authorities in Islamabad and Rawalpindi have imposed Section 144, prohibiting any public gatherings, protests, or rallies, as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) prepares for a possible demonstration.

Police and law enforcement agencies have been placed on high alert to ensure security and prevent any untoward incidents. The move comes as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order in the twin cities.

According to the district administration, no form of protest, rally, or assembly will be permitted under Section 144, and strict action will be taken against any violation. Security officials have also increased surveillance and patrolling in sensitive areas to manage public safety.

Authorities have urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and follow directives to avoid disruption.
