LAHORE — A delegation of Muslim Students Federation (MSF) members from Rawalpindi, Okara, and Mandi Bahauddin called on Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan at Governor House Lahore, where they formally announced their decision to join the People’s Students Federation (PSF).
Governor Khan welcomed the students into the party’s student wing, remarking that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has always represented students, labourers, workers, farmers, and marginalized communities. He said the youth’s growing support for the PPP reflects the party’s increasing popularity nationwide.
The Governor stressed that the PPP is the only political party capable of guiding the country out of the current economic turmoil. Praising Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as a dynamic young leader, he said Bilawal would become the Prime Minister with the people’s mandate.
Urging PPP workers to prepare for upcoming local government elections, Governor Khan advised them to take Chairman Bilawal’s message directly to the public. He reaffirmed the PPP’s commitment to restoring student unions in universities and said the party strongly opposes the culture of hooliganism in educational institutions.
The students expressed their admiration for Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s leadership, stating that they were inspired to join the PPP after observing his political vision and capabilities. They also praised President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal as seasoned leaders and voiced enthusiasm for working under their guidance.
