LAHORE: Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Sipra chaired a high-level meeting to review the performance of the Lahore Division, focusing on ongoing enforcement operations and recovery targets.
During the meeting, the Chairman directed the registration of marriage halls, marquees, and event management companies to be completed by month-end. All Additional Commissioners were instructed to submit detailed reports on the recovery of pending cases.
Chairman Sipra also ordered the swift compilation of lists of businesses manipulating sales volumes or failing to deposit collected taxes into the government treasury. Additionally, he emphasized that data from electronic food business platforms across Punjab be uploaded to the central dashboard, ensuring the e-IMS system is implemented across all sectors without exception.
He warned that legal action will be taken against businesses earning millions annually that remain unregistered. Consumers were urged to always obtain an e-IMS receipt and verify its authenticity using the PRA Sahulat App.
The measures come as part of the Authority’s broader crackdown on tax evasion and efforts to strengthen transparency in commercial operations.
