LAHORE: Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has directed authorities to ensure the timely completion of all ongoing development projects in PP-153, emphasizing that the work must reflect the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
He issued these instructions while presiding over a review meeting on the developmental progress in the constituency. Officers from the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL) and the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) attended the meeting.
Former local body representatives, including former Chairman UC 150 Tariq Awan, former Vice Chairman UC 150 Javed Haider Kharal, former Chairman UC 158 Mian Shabbir, former Chairman UC 152 Haji Ashraf, former Chairman UC 148 Mian Irfan, former Chairman UC 146 Manzoor Butt, former Vice Chairman UC Mian Afzal Bashir, former Vice Chairman UC 149 Younus Shad, along with Akhlaq Hussain Shah, Coordinator Abdul Wahab Malik, Mian Zubair, Usman Gujjar, and other party workers, were also present.
The minister reviewed the progress of various development schemes, including the Harbanspura to Phatak Saddar Cantt trunk sewerage project costing Rs 4.5 billion, the installation of tube wells in Amna Park (UC 148) worth Rs 1.1 billion, as well as street repairs, sewage system upgrades, and clean water supply initiatives. Relevant officers briefed the minister on each project.
Khawaja Salman Rafique said that the development and prosperity of the people would continue in line with the Chief Minister’s vision. He added that the PML-N government has consistently served the public and that Pakistan is moving forward rapidly under the leadership of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
