LAHORE: Punjab Police has provided a house worth Rs 13.5 million to the family of Constable Rashid Mahmood, who was martyred in 2024 while performing his duty in the Kacha area of Rahim Yar Khan.
The house was purchased in a private housing society according to the family’s preferences. Through the special efforts of IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar, the Government of Punjab released funds for this purpose. Constable Rashid Mahmood is survived by his parents, three brothers, and a sister.
IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar paid tribute to the constable’s bravery, saying Punjab Police will always honor the sacrifices of its over 1,700 martyrs and remain committed to the welfare of their families.
