Punjab’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested 24 terrorists during a series of intelligence-based operations carried out across several cities in the province, according to a CTD spokesperson.
The operations were conducted in:
Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Toba Tek Singh, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Sargodha, Muzaffargarh and Sialkot.
Officials said the suspects were apprehended on charges related to terrorism financing, planning attacks, and links to banned militant outfits. Weapons, detonators, extremist literature, and digital devices were also seized from their possession.
The CTD emphasized that the raids were part of ongoing efforts to dismantle militant networks and prevent potential terror activities across Punjab. Further investigations are underway.
