LAHORE: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab has arrested 12 terrorists allegedly linked to India’s intelligence agency RAW during intelligence-based operations conducted in Lahore, Faisalabad, and Bahawalpur.
A significant quantity of explosives and weapons was recovered from the suspects, according to a CTD spokesperson.
The spokesperson revealed that the arrested individuals were planning attacks on sensitive installations and places of worship across multiple cities in Punjab. The operation was launched after investigators traced a Facebook ID named “Adil”, which was reportedly being operated from India by RAW handlers.
The suspects had allegedly been recording videos of sensitive locations and worship places and sending them to RAW operatives through WhatsApp.

Lahore: Sukhdeep Singh, Azmat, Faizan, Nabeel, Abrar, Sarfaraz, Usman
Faisalabad: Danish
Bahawalpur: Rajab, Hashim, Saqib, Arif
Officials stated that all the detained suspects were receiving financial support from RAW. The CTD further disclosed that Sukhdeep Singh, a resident of Lahore, was born Christian but had changed his religion some time ago.

The CTD has registered cases against all the accused, and further investigations are currently underway, the spokesperson added.
