LAHORE: Acting on the directives of Provincial Minister for Labour & Human Resources Muhammad Manshaullah Butt and Commissioner Punjab Social Security Muhammad Ali, the Punjab Social Security Institution has inaugurated a high-level medical conference dedicated to women’s health.
The Second PESSI Conference on Obstetrics and Gynecology begins today at the Nawaz Sharif Social Security Teaching Hospital. The three-day, internationally standard conference is scheduled for December 13, 15, and 16 at the hospital’s Sher Alam Masood Auditorium.
The event opens today with a pre-conference session, while the formal inaugural session will take place on December 15, featuring prominent medical professors, gynecology experts, surgeons, and consultants from across Pakistan. The conference will include specialized sessions on advanced surgical skills, the latest medical research, and emerging global practices in women’s healthcare.
According to the PESSI spokesperson, the primary aim of the conference is to modernize the professional training of Social Security doctors and medical staff. The initiative seeks to enhance healthcare services for workers and their families by equipping medical professionals with updated, globally aligned expertise.
The spokesperson added that this conference marks a significant step toward improving the quality of healthcare within Punjab’s Social Security system and strengthening the skills of its medical workforce.
