LAHORE: The Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS) has awarded the PAS Gold Medal-2025 to Vice-Chancellor of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I), in recognition of his outstanding research contributions in agricultural sciences, veterinary sciences, and forestry.
The award was presented by Distinguished National Professor Dr. Kauser Abdullah Malik at a ceremony held at the PAS Auditorium in Islamabad. The event was also attended by PAS President Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood Khan, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam Baig, and several other dignitaries.
This prestigious national award is conferred annually to a single scientist in a specified category, selected from researchers across all universities in Pakistan. This year, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus of UVAS was chosen for his exceptional achievements among peers nationwide.
UVAS faculty members, staff, and stakeholders from the livestock, poultry, dairy, meat, and pharmaceutical industries congratulated Prof. Dr. Younus, lauding his significant contributions to agricultural and veterinary sciences as well as forestry.
