LAHORE: On the special directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, an awareness session was organized for the nurses of Services Hospital Lahore under the Skilled Youth Punjab Program. The session was arranged by the Skills Development and Entrepreneurship Department in collaboration with the Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF).
During the session, nurses were briefed on employment opportunities in Saudi Arabia, along with the complete procedure for application and deployment. Participants were provided a detailed overview of available nursing positions, recruitment criteria, interviews, screening mechanisms and appointment processes.
Addressing the gathering, Secretary Skills Development and Entrepreneurship Department Nadir Chattha said there is demand for more than 2,000 international job opportunities for nurses. He emphasized that the provincial government is committed to ensuring safe, transparent and secure overseas employment. He explained that all legal and professional requirements are being fulfilled through licensed overseas employment promoters, while facilities are being provided for medical examinations, data flow verification and protectorate registration. He added that PSDF will extend full support for the Prometric test and other mandatory procedures.
Chairman CM Task Force Adnan Chattha also met with the nurses and said that facilitating overseas employment for skilled individuals is among the top priorities of the Chief Minister Punjab. He highlighted that the government is ensuring hassle-free relocation, along with financial and logistical support for international employment. He noted that the initiative is expected to boost remittances, raise household incomes and strengthen the country’s foreign exchange reserves.
The awareness program, held at Services Hospital Lahore, was attended by a large number of nurses, who received comprehensive information regarding international employment opportunities and related procedures.
