Sukkur:
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that his party does not consider the establishment or the bureaucracy as enemies, stressing that pointing out mistakes of institutions or rulers is a democratic right.
Addressing a Dastar-e-Fazilat Conference in Sukkur, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the JUI’s loyalty and commitment to Pakistan should be acknowledged, adding that his party does not believe in appeasement politics and will continue to speak the truth without fear.
He said the JUI would continue its struggle for the protection and strengthening of religious seminaries, reiterating the party’s commitment to its ideological mission.
Criticising the ruling elite, the JUI-F chief said that Pakistan’s rulers blindly adopt American thinking without proper understanding, and emphasized that the country’s leadership should follow Islamic principles rather than Western models.
His remarks come amid ongoing political debates over governance, institutional roles, and the direction of national policy in Pakistan.
