Construction of state-of-the-art autism school completed ahead of schedule in Lahore

Construction of a state-of-the-art autism school in Lahore, launched under a special initiative of the Chief Minister Punjab, has been completed in 14 months, ahead of the original timeline, provincial officials said.
Provincial Minister for Communication and Works (C&W) Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth made a surprise visit to the project site to review the construction progress and quality of work. Special Assistant for Special Education MPA Sania Ashiq, the Secretary Special Education, senior officers of the Buildings Department and other relevant officials were also present.
During the visit, officials briefed the minister on the project’s completion status, construction standards and facilities. Malik Sohaib Bharth inspected the site in detail and expressed satisfaction with the overall quality of work. He directed that remaining minor finishing work be completed at the earliest and instructed allied departments to ensure the immediate placement of furniture in the newly built classrooms.
The minister also ordered strict verification of the soft vinyl flooring installed in classrooms to ensure it meets the approved scope of work. He further emphasised the need for thorough cleaning and proper housekeeping of all rooms.
Speaking on the occasion, Malik Sohaib Bharth said the welfare project reflects the Punjab government’s commitment to inclusive education and has been completed successfully through teamwork. He added that record development activity is under way across the province, which he said demonstrates the effectiveness of the provincial government’s policies.
