LAHORE: Managing Director of the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Lahore, Raja Mansoor Ahmed, has stressed the need for enhanced beautification, cleanliness, and maintenance of parks and green belts across the city, directing officials to ensure strict oversight and daily monitoring of field operations.
Chairing a meeting of PHA directors on Tuesday, the MD said Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has a clear vision to make Lahore a clean, green, and beautiful city, adding that its effective implementation remains the authority’s top priority.
Raja Mansoor Ahmed instructed all directors to conduct daily field visits and personally supervise cleanliness and beautification works in parks and along green belts. He issued strict directives that green belts must not remain without grass under any circumstances and warned that negligence in plantation and lawn maintenance would not be tolerated.
The MD also directed concerned authorities to take effective and strict measures to control the presence of stray dogs in public parks to ensure visitor safety.
Addressing environmental concerns, he said the anti-smog campaign would continue with full force, with all available resources being utilized to mitigate environmental challenges. He urged officers to perform their duties with dedication to provide citizens with a healthy and high-quality recreational environment.
All relevant directors and senior officers of PHA Lahore attended the meeting and presented detailed briefings on ongoing and upcoming development and beautification projects across the city.
