LAHORE: The 50th Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Polo and Tent Pegging Championship 2025 concluded with a grand closing ceremony at the Jinnah Polo Fields (JPF), Lahore, showcasing Pakistan Army’s longstanding traditions of sportsmanship, discipline, and excellence.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, COAS & CDF, graced the event as the Chief Guest, with the Minister of Interior, Chief Secretary Punjab, and a large number of spectators in attendance. Upon arrival, the COAS was warmly received by the Corps Commander Lahore and the Chairman of the Pakistan Polo Federation.
The championship featured eight competing teams, with Peshawar Corps emerging as the winners, while Gujranwala Corps finished as runners-up.
During the closing ceremony, Field Marshal Munir distributed prizes to both winning and participating players, highlighting the Army’s commitment to promoting equestrian sports and competitive excellence.
