ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister of Pakistan has appointed Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, as the Coordinator for Islamic and Gulf Countries and Interfaith Harmony. A formal notification has been issued in this regard.
Given the current global situation of the Muslim Ummah and the evolving dynamics in Gulf countries, this appointment is seen as a strategic move. Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi has previously served as a Special Representative and is expected to play a vital role in strengthening diplomatic ties and coordination with Arab nations. As a member of the Supreme Council of the Muslim World League and various other international Islamic organizations, his close personal ties with key Arab and Islamic leaders are expected to bolster Pakistan’s foreign relations and promote interfaith harmony.
