The massive crackdown, titled “Operation Gurz,” was carried out simultaneously across 21 provinces. Provincial police, counter-terrorism units, and intelligence agencies participated in the joint operation to dismantle networks planning attacks during New Year celebrations. Turkey’s Interior Minister stated that no terrorist organization will be allowed to organize or operate within the country. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continue operations until terrorism is completely eradicated.
