CHINIOT: Federal Minister for Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said the Punjab government has ensured the availability of medicines across hospitals in the province, as part of efforts to improve healthcare services.
The minister made the remarks during a visit to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Chiniot, where he inquired after the health of Syed Farhat Shah, brother of his long-time associate Syed Qaiser Altaf Shah. He extended his best wishes for the patient’s speedy recovery and discussed the ongoing treatment with doctors on duty.
Speaking to medical staff, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh emphasized the importance of providing quality healthcare and said visiting the sick and supporting families in difficult times reflects moral and social responsibility.
Hospital officials briefed the minister on available medical facilities and patient care arrangements during the visit.
In an interaction with bureau chiefs of Daily Jurat, Tijarat and The Business, the minister said the Punjab government has taken concrete steps to ensure an uninterrupted supply of essential medicines in public hospitals across the province.
He also directed hospital authorities to maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure that patients are treated with dignity, respect and compassion.
