Islamabad: Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has taken strict action against 271 of its own officials for corruption, disciplinary violations, and abuse of authority. The measures were implemented under the direction of FIA Director General, Rafat Mukhtar Raja, as part of the agency’s internal accountability drive.
According to an FIA statement, 88 officials, including 2 deputy directors, 6 assistant directors, 13 inspectors, and 20 sub-inspectors, were dismissed from service. Additional officials faced demotions, denial of promotions, and other disciplinary actions.
DG Rafat Mukhtar Raja emphasized that the FIA will not tolerate corruption, negligence, or poor investigative practices. He stated that the ongoing accountability measures aim to eliminate illegal activities, including human trafficking, and ensure that all personnel adhere to legal and professional standards.
