The Islamabad Traffic Police have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in the preparation and distribution of fake driving licenses during a timely and effective operation.
According to police officials, the suspect was taken into custody from the parking area of the Faizabad Traffic Office, where he was actively engaged in supplying forged driving licenses. Three bogus driving licenses were recovered from his possession at the time of arrest.
The suspect has been identified as Muttib ur Rehman, son of Shabbir Hussain, a resident of the Zia Mosque area. Following initial interrogation, the accused was handed over to Abpara Police Station for further legal proceedings. A case has been registered against him on charges of forgery, and an investigation is currently underway.
Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad, Hamza Humayoun, stated that individuals involved in violations of traffic laws and document forgery would not be shown any leniency. He urged citizens to obtain driving licenses only through official legal procedures and to promptly report any suspicious activity to the Islamabad Traffic Police.
