Tehran — Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has issued a strong warning aimed at former US President Donald Trump, drawing parallels with historical rulers who, he said, met downfall due to arrogance and abuse of power.
In a statement shared on social media, Ayatollah Khamenei said that a man “immersed in arrogance” believes he can decide the fate of the entire world. He added that such leaders should reflect on what happened to powerful rulers at the peak of their authority.
Referring to historical figures, the Iranian supreme leader said that Pharaoh, Nimrod, and Reza Shah all faced consequences despite their power, and warned that Trump could meet a similar fate.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that power and dominance are temporary, and that history consistently shows the decline of rulers driven by pride and oppression.
