The National Peace Message Committee (NPMC) has pledged full cooperation for the promotion of Pakistan’s national narrative during a meeting with Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry at General Headquarters (GHQ).
According to the DG ISPR, the meeting featured a comprehensive discussion on internal security in the context of Fitna al-Khawarij, the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and the TTA. Both sides reaffirmed a unified stance on national security matters. The meeting also reiterated Pakistan’s principled position on Kashmir and Gaza.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry emphasized that unity and consensus on national security narratives are the need of the hour. He stated that standing with oppressed people across the world is Pakistan’s moral responsibility.
The meeting underscored unwavering solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces and expressed a shared resolve to counter anti-state narratives. The NPMC assured full cooperation in strengthening the national narrative and confronting disinformation campaigns.
The committee strongly condemned Fitna al-Khawarij and the Afghan Taliban, stating that terrorism has no justification under any circumstances.
The NPMC announced plans to promote messages of Muslim unity, social harmony, and constitutional equality across the country through mosques and religious platforms. Both sides agreed on adopting a zero-tolerance policy against hate speech, sectarianism, and extremist narratives.
The committee also proposed expanding awareness sessions in mosques, madrassas, and universities to further disseminate the state’s narrative.
According to the DG ISPR, public awareness and truth-based narratives are the most decisive tools in countering the enemy’s psychological warfare. He termed the meeting highly productive and expressed optimism about progress toward trust-building and practical cooperation in the future.
