ISLAMABAD — The Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) has announced that the new moon of Shaban 1447 Hijri is expected to be sighted on January 21, 2026.
According to SUPARCO spokesperson, the new moon will be born on January 19 at 12:52 AM. However, moon sighting on the evening of January 19 is highly unlikely.
The spokesperson indicated that the first day of Shaban is expected to fall on January 21, 2026. The final announcement will be made by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee following moon sighting procedures.
