Lahore, January 18, 2026 – All arrangements have been completed for Pakistan’s first three-day SME Clusters Expo to be held at Expo Centre Lahore from January 24 to 26 under the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), supervised by the Federal Ministry of Industries and Production.
Preparations were finalized at a meeting chaired by Federal Secretary for Industries and Production Saif Anjum. During a briefing on the arrangements, SMEDA Chief Executive Officer Nadia Jehangir Seth informed that the “Made in Pakistan-SME Cluster Showcase Expo” has attracted buyers, sellers, and shopkeepers from the micro, small and medium sector, as well as foreign delegates.
She said that delegates from Azerbaijan, Malaysia and Tajikistan will also participate in the expo, while several diplomats and commercial attachés from other countries have also shown keen interest in the exhibition. The Secretary of Industries and Production said that the purpose of holding this expo is to strengthen the country’s micro, small and medium enterprise ecosystem, enhance market access and position SME clusters as a competitive pillar of the national economy in accordance with the Prime Minister of Pakistan’s economic development vision.
The SMEDA CEO said that products from over 200 SMEs from 30 sectors are being displayed in the three-day expo. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will participate as chief guest at the inauguration ceremony. The expo will feature cluster pavilions, dialogue and discussion sessions, as well as an awards ceremony in recognition of SME services.
The Secretary of Industries and Production was informed that clusters and exhibitors related to agri-food and processing, textiles, handicrafts, surgical instruments, light engineering, leather, honey, furniture, marble and granite, and gems and jewelry have been selected transparently through verified trade bodies.
The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan and Secretary MOIP Saif Anjum are directly overseeing the arrangements to make this event a true reflection of the current government’s SME development approach. Strong participation from corporate buyers, procurement heads, regulatory stakeholders, financial institutions, foreign missions and the general public is expected during the three-day exhibition.
