Islamabad, – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with the Chief Minister of Sindh and expressed deep sorrow over the fire incident at Gul Plaza, Karachi, which resulted in loss of lives.
The Prime Minister offered all possible assistance from the federal government to the Sindh government in dealing with the aftermath of the tragic incident. Yesterday, upon taking immediate notice of the fire at Gul Plaza Karachi, the Prime Minister had directed federal agencies to provide complete support to the Sindh government.
“We stand with the victims and the Sindh government in this hour of grief and suffering,” the Prime Minister said. He emphasized that a coordinated and effective system is extremely necessary for timely control of fires in densely populated urban areas.
The Prime Minister stated that the federal government is ready to provide all kinds of assistance to the provincial government in establishing a coordinated system to prevent such incidents in the future. He stressed the importance of developing a comprehensive mechanism to enhance fire safety and emergency response capabilities in urban centers.
