Kabul: At least seven people were killed and several others injured in a powerful explosion that struck a high-security area of Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, police officials confirmed.
According to Kabul police, the blast targeted a hotel located in the Shahr-e-Naw commercial district, one of the city’s busiest and heavily secured areas. Emergency services rushed to the scene, while security forces cordoned off the area to assess the damage and prevent further incidents.
Authorities said an investigation has been launched to determine the nature of the explosion, while no group has immediately claimed responsibility.
