Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has departed for Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026, scheduled to take place from January 19 to 23.

The prime minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, and other senior officials.
During the visit, Prime Minister Sharif will engage in a series of key diplomatic and economic activities. He is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with heads of state and government, as well as leaders of international organisations and global financial institutions.
A key feature of the visit will be a Business Roundtable, jointly organised by Pakistan and the World Economic Forum. The session will bring together leaders of leading global companies interested in exploring new investment opportunities in Pakistan or expanding their existing operations in the country.
Officials say the prime minister’s participation in the WEF aims to highlight Pakistan’s economic potential, attract foreign investment, and strengthen the country’s engagement with the international community.
