FAISALABAD, Pakistan – The Regional Police Officer of Faisalabad held talks with business leaders at the city’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday, focusing on security concerns and crime prevention in Pakistan’s third-largest city.
RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera met with FCCI President Farooq Yousaf Sheikh and other chamber officials to discuss law and order challenges affecting the industrial hub, which serves as a major textile manufacturing center.
The business community praised recent police operations targeting narcotics and illegal gambling in the region. In response, Sukhera pledged that authorities would prioritize addressing security issues impacting commercial activities.
“Ensuring a peaceful environment for business activities remains our top priority,” the RPO told attendees, which included representatives from the District Bar Association.
The meeting underscores growing cooperation between law enforcement and the private sector in Faisalabad, a city of over 3 million people located in Punjab province.
