The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Swat to strengthen cooperation in academic programs, research, student training, and capacity building of faculty and administrative staff.
The MoU was signed by UVAS Lahore Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I) and UVAS Swat Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shakeeb Ullah during a ceremony at the UVAS City Campus. Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof. Dr. Aneela Zameer Durrani and several officials from both institutions were also present.
Under the agreement, the two institutions will collaborate on joint research and interdisciplinary projects and provide training opportunities for students, including pre-internships, internships, and practical exposure. They will share research facilities, equipment, scientific resources, clinics, farms, and other technical infrastructure. The institutions will also exchange faculty members for teaching, research, training, and academic consultation.
In addition, both universities will exchange academic materials, publications, and research findings and jointly organize training programs, workshops, conferences, and continuing professional development sessions.
Educational Visit by Rashid Latif Medical College Faculty and Students
Faculty and students from Rashid Latif Medical College Lahore visited UVAS Lahore, where Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus briefed them on UVAS’s academic, research, extension, advisory, and training programs. He also presented a UVAS documentary showcasing the university’s research initiatives, development interventions, student strength, and national and international collaborations.
