Lahore: The 62nd meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP), chaired by Chairman P&D Board Dr. Naeem Rauf, approved four major development schemes amounting to Rs 56 billion in the development sector. The meeting was attended by Secretary P&D Board Rafaqat Ali, members of the P&D Board, and representatives from relevant departments.
The approved schemes include:
Chief Minister Punjab Value Addition Financing for Pink Salt – Estimated cost: Rs 1.6 billion
Establishment of Emergency and OPD Block at Teaching Hospital, DG Khan (Revised) – Estimated cost: Rs 6 billion
Provision of MRI & CT Scan for Punjab Institute of Mental Health, Lahore – Estimated cost: Rs 1 billion
Construction of Rawalpindi Ring from Banth to Thalian – Estimated cost: Rs 47 billion
Additionally, the PDWP approved position papers for the development of Urban Bus Depots and allied infrastructure in Faisalabad, Lahore, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, and Multan, along with the extension in gestation period for 57 project posts across nine development schemes.
