Lahore: Senior Member of the Board of Revenue Punjab, Nabeel Javaid, has emphasized that the Punjab government is fully committed to providing maximum facilities and improved services to devotees visiting Darbar Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA). This aligns with the keen interest of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, he said.
Addressing a review meeting of the Data Darbar Extension Project at Hajvery Hall, Javaid stated that the shrine’s development and expansion are being carried out with special focus on convenience, safety, and better management for millions of annual visitors.
The meeting was attended by key officials including Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, Director General Religious Affairs Madina Foundation Shahid Kalyani, Chief Engineer TEPA Iqrar Hussain, Director Projects Auqaf Rafiq Noor Wattoo, Deputy GM NESPAK Adil Raza, and Administrator Data Darbar Muhammad Ali Khan, among others.
Dr. Ehsan Bhutta briefed the participants that all relevant departments have clear responsibilities and timelines, with close coordination to ensure quality and timely execution of development works. He highlighted that construction respects the shrine’s sanctity, historical significance, and spiritual environment.
Javaid praised the auction of the HVAC system, noting it was conducted at 60 million instead of the base price of 20 million, ensuring full transparency. He also thanked the Chief Executive of Madina Foundation Aslam Tareen for his cooperation and commended all departments and technical teams for their dedication and professionalism. Javaid expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work and directed officials to maintain their efforts for the early completion of the project for the benefit of devotees.
