In the match played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. The hosts posted 207 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs — Pakistan’s highest-ever T20 total against Australia.
Babar Azam and Saim Ayub led the batting with half-centuries, scoring 50 runs each. Shadab Khan added 46 runs, while Khawaja Nafiq scored 21, Fakhar Zaman 10, and captain Salman Ali Agha managed five runs.
For Australia, Ben Warshuis claimed two wickets.
Chasing a target of 208, Australia were bowled out for 96 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa did not come out to bat due to injury.
