ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the blast at an imambargah in Islamabad’s Tralai area, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives and extending condolences to the families of those killed.
In a statement, the prime minister prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the deceased and for patience and strength for their bereaved families. He also wished a swift recovery for those injured in the attack.
Prime Minister Sharif held a meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, during which he directed authorities to carry out a comprehensive and transparent investigation into the incident and ensure the immediate identification of those responsible.
He instructed that the perpetrators be brought to justice and punished according to the law. The prime minister also ordered that the injured be provided with the best possible medical treatment, directing the health minister to personally oversee medical arrangements.
“The government will not allow anyone to spread violence, chaos or instability in the country,” Prime Minister Sharif said, reaffirming the state’s resolve to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of citizens.
