Very Saddened to Hear About Imran Khan’s Eye Condition, Can Only Pray: Shah Mehmood

Islamabad – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating eye condition of party founder Imran Khan, stating that he can only pray for his recovery.
Speaking to the media, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said, “I was very saddened to hear about Imran Khan’s eye condition. Beyond prayers, there is nothing I can do.” His statement reflects the helplessness felt by party leadership regarding Khan’s medical situation while in detention.
The PTI Vice Chairman emphasized that prisoners have fundamental rights that must be provided to them. “Prisoners have rights that should be given to them. This is the responsibility of the jail administration,” he stated, calling on authorities to ensure proper medical care and facilities for the incarcerated PTI founder.
Shah Mehmood also expressed his distress upon seeing Aleema Khan, Imran Khan’s sister, in tears. “I felt very sad seeing Aleema Khan’s tears,” he said during the conversation, highlighting the emotional toll the situation has taken on the Khan family.
The concerns raised by the PTI leadership come amid growing worries about Imran Khan’s health conditions in custody. Party members have been demanding adequate medical treatment and facilities for their leader.
The statement underscores the ongoing tension between PTI and the government regarding the treatment and conditions of detention for the former Prime Minister.
