Tiggo 9 Super Hybrid Unveiled at Chery Motors Defence Showroom in Lahore

Chinese automaker Chery Motors has unveiled its flagship Tiggo 9 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) in Pakistan, positioning the SUV as a new benchmark in high-performance sustainable mobility.
The reveal took place at Chery Defence in Lahore, which served as the primary venue for the Saturday, February 14 launch event. Organized by Elysium, the exclusive gathering drew socialites, influencers and entrepreneurs eager to witness the debut of the premium hybrid SUV.
Shan Moin, Director of Chery Defence, described the launch as a defining moment for the brand’s presence in Pakistan.
“The launch of the Tiggo 9 PHEV isn’t just about adding a new SUV to our lineup; it’s about setting a new benchmark for what a flagship vehicle should be in Pakistan. With 610 horsepower and an incredible 1,400km combined range, we are proving that performance and sustainability can coexist beautifully,” he said. “At Chery Defence, we are proud to bring this ‘conqueror’ to the roads, offering a driving experience that is as powerful as it is intelligent.”
Guests at the event participated in exclusive test drives highlighting the vehicle’s 610 horsepower and 920 Nm of torque. According to the company, the SUV accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 5.4 seconds, placing it among the high-performance segment in the local market.
The Tiggo 9 features what the company calls a “Tiger-Leap” design language, emphasizing bold lines and an assertive stance. Inside, the cabin—marketed as a “Sanctuary of Silence”—offers premium leather upholstery, woodgrain accents, and a 15.6-inch HD infotainment touchscreen. The vehicle is also equipped with a 14-speaker Sony surround sound system, including integrated headrest speakers aimed at enhancing the immersive audio experience.
With the Tiggo 9 PHEV now available in Pakistan, Chery appears to be targeting buyers seeking a combination of luxury, performance and extended hybrid range in a rapidly evolving automotive market.
