Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has departed for a two-day official visit to Vienna, Austria, at the invitation of Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker.
The Pakistani delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
During the visit, Prime Minister Sharif will hold bilateral meetings with Chancellor Stocker at the Federal Chancellery and co-chair a high-level business forum with prominent investors to promote trade and investment between the two countries. He is also scheduled to address the Austria Business Forum.
In addition, the Prime Minister will participate in a special event under the United Nations theme of “Sustainable Development, Global Peace, and Prosperity,” and will hold discussions with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The official visit is expected to strengthen bilateral ties, expand economic and scientific cooperation, and open new avenues for collaboration between Pakistan and Austria.
