LAHORE: The 3rd Chief of Army Staff National Inter-Club Hockey Championship 2026 has entered its final phase, with the national-level competitions set to commence in Lahore.
The championship is being held in four phases. The first three stages — conducted from January 4 to February 15, 2026 — were successfully completed at the district, divisional and provincial levels across the country. The fourth and final phase, the National Level stage, will take place in Lahore from February 17 to February 28, 2026.
According to organizers, a total of 663 matches were played during the initial three phases of the tournament. Competitions were organized across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh, Islamabad, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, reflecting widespread participation and enthusiasm nationwide.
With hockey enthusiasts from across Pakistan now turning their attention to the concluding national rounds, the upcoming fixtures are expected to generate significant excitement. The opening ceremony is scheduled for February 17 in Lahore, while the closing ceremony will be held on February 28.
Officials believe the championship, organized under the Talent Hunt Program, could mark the beginning of a renewed era for hockey in Pakistan by identifying and nurturing emerging talent at the grassroots level.
