LAHORE: A 15-member delegation of the First Senior Management Course from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Services Academy visited the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) for a study tour to gain insights into departmental operations and reform initiatives.
The delegation was briefed by PRA Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Sipra, who emphasized the importance of understanding both the technical and legal aspects of tax administration. He highlighted that linking officers’ performance to the e-system has led to measurable improvements in efficiency and outcomes.
Chairman Sipra also shared that the PRA is actively working to achieve the highest tax collection target in Punjab’s history for the current fiscal year. He noted the expanding scope of the services sector and stressed that IT-based reforms have significantly facilitated various industries.
The visiting officers appreciated the authority’s reform measures and acknowledged the substantial growth in revenue collection under PRA initiatives. The delegation included officers from the departments of Communications & Works, Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control, Irrigation, Science, and Information Technology.
